Stephen Horwitz, M.D.

Dr. Stephen Horwitz, M.D. - Dr. Stephen Horowitz, M.D. Stephen N. Horwitz, M.D. is a well-known dermatologist who has been practicing in South Florida for more than 25 years. In the summer of 2004, he opened his new practice in Aventura where he provides both cosmetic and medical dermatology services.

Dr. Horwitz is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and served on numerous committees at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where for the first ten years of his career he was Vice Chairman of the Department of Dermatology, before going into private dermatologic practice. He is a member of numerous medical associations including: the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Dade County Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Florida Dermatological Association, and Miami Dermatological Society. He is also a frequent lecturer and the author of more than a dozen dermatologic articles. He received his undergraduate degree at University of Miami, and his medical degree from Tulane Medical School. He completed dermatology residencies at Charity Hospital, Tulane Division in New Orleans, and at Mount Sinai Medical Center locally.

Dr. Horwitz provides both general and cosmetic dermatology services including: the treatment of all skin conditions, including skin cancer; botox injections and dermal fillers for wrinkle reduction; laser hair removal; photo facial rejuvenation; sclerotherapy and much more.

Whitney L. Krohn, MMS, PA-C

Whitney L. Krohn, MMS, PA-C, Dr. Horwitz's Physician's Assistant Whitney joined Dr. Horwitz as his Physician Assistant in 2004. Together they worked to build and establish Horwitz Dermatology. While Whitney treats patients in all aspects of medical and cosmetic dermatology, she has a special interest in acne and cosmetic skincare. To better serve her patients, Whitney consistently stays current on the latest advances in skincare by trying new products and attending seminars. She takes pride in knowing that each regimen she designs for her patients will be effective and suit the individual patient's lifestyle. Patients love her honest and thorough approach and most of all they love their results – healthier skin!

Whitney received her Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) in 1999. She then went on to continue her education at Nova Southeastern University where she was awarded a Masters of Medical Sciences and a second Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

Donna Bilu Martin, M.D.

Donna Bilu Martin MD - Dermatologist Aventura, FL Donna Bilu Martin, M.D. is a Board Certified Dermatologist who performs adult and pediatric medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, and cosmetic procedures (including: botox/dysport, chemical peels, collagen, restylane/juvederm, radiesse, laser hair removal, laser pigmented lesions, photo and laser rejuvenation, sclerotherapy and more). She is dedicated to the detection, early prevention, and treatment of skin cancers.

Dr. Bilu Martin was raised in the Aventura area. She completed her undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors, and received the Provost’s Undergraduate Research Award. She received her medical degree at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she was awarded a Dean’s Research Fellowship. She performed her residency in Dermatology at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore. She is fluent in Hebrew.

Dr. Bilu Martin has authored a published chapter in an immunology textbook and has co-authored numerous articles that have been published in a variety of medical and dermatologic journals. She is the editor of the "Make the Diagnosis" column for Skin & Allergy News online. Dr. Bilu Martin is a volunteer instructor of Dermatology at the University of Miami School of Medicine.
